The ECB9500 is a powerful and multi-functioned 11n product with 7 major multi-functions, is designed to operate in every working environment for enterprises.
The ECB9500 is one of the few 802.11n bridges on the market today. It can be used in bridge mode with any 802.11bgn access point. When used in conjunction with a 802.11n router like the ESR-9750G or another ECB9500 you can get very high data rates and good range.
During our testing with Chariot we were able to average 44Mbps from 55 feet away one floor down. A 802.11g solution could only provide 10-11Mbps in the same location.
One of the best applications for the ECB9500 is IPTV we were able to stream a 1080i HDTV video stream over the ECB9500 without any breakups. A single 1080i stream requires almost 20Mbps so we are well within the parameters. This would be a great device for digital TV providers to connect to set top boxes. Or to use with media center computers attached to a HDTV.
In a business environment the ECB9500 could be used as a 802.11n access point for applications that require high throughput like high definition multimedia. The ECB9500 can also be used bridge two locations at high speed. However when range is more important than speed the high power 600mW ECB9500 will provide greater range.
Another application would be gaming consoles like XBOX360 to stream HDTV content from a media center PC.
